October 2020: Autumn at Derwent

Derwent Newsletter: October Edition

Summer has flown by here at Derwent, and we have been busy with our new secret re-vamp on middle floor- which hopefully will be finished this month!

We are also starting our new men’s club every Wednesday, where they can enjoy a natter over a pint and a game of dominoes.

Our classic movie day was a big hit, residents loved watching classics such as ‘Gone With The Wind’ and ‘Seven Brides for Seven Brothers’.  Sonia our lifestyle support went round with an old fashioned cinema sweet box, filled with popcorn, choc-ices and pic’n’mix- everyone loved it!

We have continued to have lots of interactions with residents families through our online presence as well as regular Facetime and Zoom chats. We would like to say a big thank you to all our residents families for your understanding and  unwavering support through all this.
