Nestled in Oxfordshire’s picturesque and sleepy Evenlode Valley, the small Cotswold village of Shipton-under-Wychwood is home to The OId Prebendal Estate, a beautiful collection of retirement cottages and apartments set in stunning gardens alongside an award-winning, Grade II listed residential care home.
In these homely, comfortable and peaceful surroundings, residents are able to enjoy the very best in person-centred living.
The Old Prebendal House
Our award-winning nursing and residential home, The Old Prebendal House is a sumptuous Grade II Listed care home of justifiably great renown throughout Oxfordshire. With medieval origins, this historic home is richly appointed with everything necessary for a modern, person-centred level of 24-hour respite and nursing care.
The Old Prebendal Court
The ultimate in riverside retirement, The Old Prebendal Court features four retirement cottages and sixteen apartments, all built to exacting standards from Cotswold stone and set within the stunning grounds of the historic Estate. Here, residents can enjoy a life of complete independence and privacy, safe in the knowledge that they have a 24-hour nurse call system and emergency support from the nearby Old Prebendal House residential care home if needed.
If you’re a retiree to The Old Prebendal Court and your loved one should require residential or nursing care, then we can easily move them across the Estate to the Old Prebendal House with the minimum of fuss and disruption to either of you. That way, you’re still close to the one you love and able to spend time together whenever you wish, while continuing to live independently in your retirement cottage or apartment.
