Mariposa Care Group is proud to announce the successful introduction of a new programme of bespoke tour experiences for residents in several of its care homes, through its’ exciting new partnership with Myley.
First launching at Riverwell Beck, Kingston Court, Briardene and Sovereign Lodge care homes, the new service will offer residents monthly opportunities to enjoy specially designed outings to locations across the UK – tailored to their individual interests and hobbies.
Myley is a specialist provider of accessible, fully supported day trips and tours for older adults living in care homes. Their mission, “ensuring adventure never retires”, is built on the belief that meaningful experiences should remain part of life at every age – an ethos Mariposa Care proudly shares.
Each Myley tour is carefully planned and led by a dedicated Myley Tour Leader, who supports residents throughout the trip alongside care home staff. From garden centres and museums to wildlife parks and football grounds – Myley works with each care home to create engaging and memorable experiences that help reconnect their residents with the wider community.

Mariposa Care Group is very proud to be working with Myley to further enhance their wellbeing and resident enrichment offering with regular day trips and outings – providing new sensory, social and community-based opportunities. Catherine Ruddick, Regional Wellbeing and Community Engagement Lead at Mariposa Care, welcomed the partnership and its potential to further enhance residents’ lives. She said:

Myley Tours have been shown to successfully boost resident wellbeing in care settings across the UK, support trips to various locations and helping residents fulfil long-held wishes. Matt Hamblin, Commercial Director at Myley, is leading the new partnership with Mariposa Care Group, he said:

With the new Myley tour partnership now underway, Mariposa Care Group looks forward to offering residents fresh opportunities to connect with their wider community and explore a range of locations beyond the care home setting. The tours started in February 2026, with those homes’ taking part enjoying visiting their local garden centres and other attractions – with many more trips planned throughout the year.
The introduction of Myley Tours marks another step in Mariposa Care Group’s commitment to enriching daily life for residents, and its continued effort to find for new ways to support those living within their care homes to live their best possible lives.
