What beautiful weather we have been having, that week of sunshine and warmer temperatures has us all longing for the summer months!
It’s been an exciting time here at Derwent as we have introduced our ‘Make a Wish initiative! We will be asking each of our residents for something they have always dreamed of doing and work our hardest to help their wishes come true! So far, we have now made three residents’ wishes come true and we aren’t stopping there!
We have also recently refreshed our coffee shop on ground floor, with new furnishings and new wallpaper to really brighten the room up! I know we all look forward to days ahead where families can sit and enjoy a coffee in there with their loved ones. Until then, take care and we can’t wait to see you all soon.
We have been packed with activities throughout March, including St. Patrick’s Day and making wishes come true.

March has been a very popular day for birthdays, our residents enjoyed their celebrations and we loved being able to spend their day with them!
Ken Thompson celebrated his 78th Birthday on March 8th, Ken absolutely loved his birthday cake.
Happy Birthday to Millie Pattison who turned 87 on March 12th, Millie received lots of cards and presents.
Mavis Musgrove turned 87 on March 13th, Mavis loved seeing her room all decorated.
Betty Thorpe celebrated her 85th birthday on March 23rd with a lovely brunch with husband Bob.
Happy birthday to Audrey Pope to turned 84 on March 31st, Audrey loved her birthday cake.
