June 2021: Springtime Showers at Derwent

14/06/2021

Derwent Newsletter: June Edition

Where has that summer sunshine gone?! – although all the rain has been doing wonders for our garden at Derwent which our residents really enjoyed planting earlier in the year. Following recent government guidance, we’re now able to welcome five visitors (maximum of two at a time) into our home and I am sure that has put a big smile on your faces just as it has ours!

We are revamping our bedrooms at Derwent, slowly but surely all bedrooms will be getting done; we are adding wallpaper and new bedspread so bedrooms feel more unique and individual. So watch this space!

As always, we are continuing to have lots of interactions with resident’s families through our online presence as well as Facetime and Zoom chats. We would like to say a big thank you to all our resident’s families for your understanding throughout all this and your unwavering support.

Birthdays and Special Mentions

We’d like to sat a huge happy birthday to our wonderful Julie who celebrated her 87th birthday on the 22nd May – to celebrate Julie enjoyed a lovely visit from her son Michael and daughter-in-law Diane.
