Our dedicated staff is the heart of Mariposa Care Homes and providing them with the best tools is essential for delivering exceptional care. With Camascope, our team members can now manage medications more effectively, reducing administrative burdens and allowing them to spend more quality time with residents.
Training and support are integral to the successful adoption of any new technology. We have invested in comprehensive training programs to ensure that our staff is fully equipped and confident in using Camascope. This not only empowers them but also enhances their job satisfaction and professional development.
Camascope was initially launched in Autumn 2024 at St Luke’s nursing home in Pudsey, where responses to the new system have remained extremely positive since it’s introduction. A St Luke’s team member said:
“I love Camascope, it’s so user friendly and the post implementation support has been good. It has made the whole process more visual and has reduced the amount of nurse/manager time taken to order and book in medication – giving us more time to spend with residents.”
This positive feedback has been echoed across the care group as the system has been introduced to different Mariposa Care Homes. Many staff have commented on the simplicity of the system and how its introduction has reduced admin time whilst ensuring recording and administrative accuracy.
Chris Beastall, Development Director at Mariposa Care, praised the positive integration. He said:
“At Mariposa Care, we are committed to being residential and nursing care leaders when adopting new technologies that help further enhance our care. By introducing the Camascope system to our care homes, we have been able to increase efficiency in medication reporting whilst also reducing administrative time for our care teams.”
The Camascope system is now being used at the majority of Mariposa care homes, with installation imminent for the remaining few.
Tracey Gibson, Training Manager at Camascope, has also praised the uptake of the new system at Mariposa Care. She said:
“I’m so happy that Camascope has been successfully implemented. The team [have been] exceptionally responsive and receptive during the training days. They worked hard to ensure that everything that needed to be done was done. This helped ensure a smooth and efficient deployment. I look forward to rolling out Camascope throughout the rest of the group and I’m really looking forward to seeing the positive impact that Camascope will have in enhancing the quality of care provided.”
The integration of Camascope aligns with Mariposa Care Homes’ mission to provide compassionate, high-quality care that meets the evolving needs of our residents. By embracing technology, we are taking proactive steps to enhance our services and ensure the safety and well-being of those we care for.
At Mariposa Care, as always, our commitment remains to our residents and their families, ensuring they receive the best possible care in a supportive and nurturing environment. We are excited about the positive impact Camascope will have on our community and look forward to seeing the benefits unfold as we continue to innovate and elevate the standards of care within our homes.
