February 2021: Feeling the love at Holly Lodge

28/02/2021

Holly Lodge Newsletter: February Edition

Firstly, we would like to wish all our lovely residents and their families a very Happy Valentines Day – after a very trying year, it’s made us even more thankful for those we have with us and a reminder to cherish every moment. Our residents had a wonderful day, made even better as the children from St Johns Primary School very kindly sent our residents card and our brilliant kitchen staff made some delicious themed-cakes!

Of course we also celebrated Pancake Day with some very tasty pancakes with a variety of toppings!

Following the recent announcement we hope to be welcoming visitors back into the home soon, we are just awaiting instructions on how we can do this in the safest way possible. As soon as we know, we’ll be in touch to arrange visits!

Coming up in the next few weeks

Once we can start to have visitors back in the home we hope to start booking entertainers on a regular basis again. We’re especially looking forward to a performance from a fan-favourite here at Holly Lodge – ‘Wor Vera’ who is due to sing for our residents on the 12th April and will be sure to have everyone singing along with the classics.

Thank You

Everyone at Holly Lodge would like to give their congratulations to our Gillian hall who celebrated 15-years of employment at Holly Lodge this month!

Gillian is our Domestic/Laundry Assistant here at the home, she works hard with the Auxiliary team to  keep the home very clean and tidy whilst also ensuring residents clothes are clean and in good repair. On top of all this, Gillian is always ready to lend a helping hand when needed and has a very good relationship with our residents – always available for a cheery chat whilst carrying out her duties.

Thank you for everything you do Gillian!

Residents birthdays

We would like to wish all our residents who have celebrated birthdays during February our best wishes for their special day which we are so lucky to share with you!
