We are delighted to share the completion of the first significant milestone in the extensive renovation programme which is currently underway at Briardene care home.
Part of the wider renovation project which is currently underway, the changes aim to further enhance the exceptional care provided at the home, with upgraded living spaces and new facilities. This initial phase of the project has focused on the full refurbishment of the home’s existing lounges and dining rooms, which are now complete and open for residents to enjoy.
The enhanced lounges now offer a contemporary, welcoming space for relaxation, social interaction and visits with family and friends. Whilst the upgraded dining rooms provide an first-class dining experience and create more social opportunities for residents to enjoy together.
These redesigned spaces have been carefully planned to create brighter, more comfortable and accessible environments; with each element specially designed to support residents’ wellbeing and further enhance day-to-day life within the home.
The renovation works are being delivered by Carey Contracts and The Juniper Partnership, Mariposa Care Homes’ specialist contractors in elderly and dementia care environments. Their combined expertise ensures that all improvements are carried out with current and future resident safety, comfort and wellbeing as a priority.

With this milestone complete, Briardene Care Home is now moving into the next stage of the renovation programme, which will see the development of eight new bedrooms, alongside a new lounge and dining room. All new bedrooms will feature modern ensuite wet rooms and have been designed to provide comfort, privacy and flexibility to meet a range of care needs. These rooms will be available from early March – and are available to reserve now, with only a few remaining.
The full renovation project at Briardene is on track to complete by June 2026 and reflects Mariposa Care Homes’ continued investment in creating first-class care environments for residents, where they can live their best possible lives in thoughtfully designed, purpose-led spaces.
