We are delighted to provide an update on the exciting renovation project evolving at Kingston Court care home in Carlisle, which is already enhancing the lives of our residents and team.
We are proud that since our last announcement, significant progress has been made towards transforming Kingston Court into a state-of-the-art care facility that prioritises comfort, dignity, and personalised care for its residents.The first phase of the renovation, focused on creating four new bedrooms with ensuite wet-rooms, has been successfully completed, marking a milestone in our journey to improve the quality of care and living standards.
New Bedroom with Wellbeing By Design – Full Bloom Decor
These new rooms, designed with Mariposa’s signature Well-being by Design schemes, have already become a sanctuary for residents, offering them a space that is not only functional with private ensuite wet-rooms but also exudes warmth and homeliness. The feedback from residents and their families has been overwhelmingly positive, reinforcing our commitment to enhancing every aspect of care and accommodation at Kingston Court.
Kim Lawson, Home Manager at Kingston Court, spoke on the progress made so far. She said:

New Bedroom with Wellbeing By Design – Serenity Decor
As we move forward, our efforts are now concentrated on the next phases of the project, which include the introduction of innovative elderly and dementia care facilities. The library-themed coffee shop, local market-themed shop, and revitalised hair salon, all inspired by Carlisle’s local landmarks, are taking shape.
These spaces are designed to provide elderly residents and those with dementia a sense of familiarity and comfort, encouraging engagement and social interaction within a safe and nurturing environment.

Our interior design, Juniper Partnership’s expertise in care interior design is ensuring that these facilities will not only meet but exceed the expectations of residents and their families.
Looking ahead, we are on track for the project’s completion in May 2024. The ongoing partnership with specialist care home construction company Carey Contracts ensures that the remaining work will continue to be carried out with the utmost consideration for the comfort and well-being of our current residents. We remain committed to minimising disruption and maintaining the highest standards of care throughout this period.
