October 2021: Celebrating Spooky Season at Derwent

10/11/2021

Derwent Newsletter: October Edition

Where has this year gone? October already and residents have been enjoying doing some spooky Halloween themed activities, we have our pumpkins out ready to carve. We have started collecting for our Christmas Raffle, raffle tickets are available to buy if anyone would like to do so.

We are revamping our bedrooms and lounges at Derwent, slowly but surely all bedrooms will be getting done, we are adding wallpaper and new bedspreads, so bedrooms feel more unique and individual, we hope you all like them. We have introduced a new sensory wall onto our middle floor which will continuingly be added too.

We are welcoming families back to Derwent, with the new government guidelines, residents can have 2 visitors at one time in their bedrooms for up to one hour. All visitors must show a negative lateral flow test on arrival and wear full PPE throughout the visit. I think we can all agree this is a big step in the right direction to getting a little normality back.
