Our Approach to Dementia Care at Kingston Court

At Kingston Court, we have invested in creating a calm and welcoming atmosphere where residents who live with dementia can feel safe and at home. Our specialist facilities elevate the things you might expect from a care home by putting together engaging and interactive spaces that are designed to spark familiarity and joy.

We have the Library Cafe which provides a cosy setting for residents to enjoy a hot drink and the comfort of reading or conversation, while the Market Hall, inspired by Carlisle’s own historic hall, recreates the atmosphere of bustling marketplace with traditional stalls and items to browse, whilst always remaining safe.

These unique spaces help to encourage engagement, social interaction and moments of recognition that help residents to feel connected and reassured but still providing a safe and supportive environment.

Our approach is underpinned by the highest standards of care as set out by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Digital systems such as Person Centred Software and Camascope ensure that care plans and medication records are accurate and up to date, while our commitment to ongoing staff training means residents benefit from knowledgeable and attentive support at all times.
