Derwent Newsletter: March Edition
What beautiful weather we have been having, that week of sunshine and warmer temperatures has us all longing for the summer months!
It’s been an exciting time here at Derwent as we have introduced our ‘Make a Wish initiative! We will be asking each of our residents for something they have always dreamed of doing and work our hardest to help their wishes come true! So far, we have now made three residents’ wishes come true and we aren’t stopping there!
We have also recently refreshed our coffee shop on ground floor, with new furnishings and new wallpaper to really brighten the room up! I know we all look forward to days ahead where families can sit and enjoy a coffee in there with their loved ones. Until then, take care and we can’t wait to see you all soon.
Make a Wish : Joan’s Carribean Weekend
Our lovely Joan wished of a Caribbean Weekend, but as jet-setting to Jamaica was a little out of our reach we decided to do the best next thing and bring the Caribbean to Joan instead!
Along with our other residents and staff, Joan had an amazing day filled with Caribbean fruits, cocktails, costumes and coconuts.
It’s safe to say we all enjoyed our little holiday in the sun – at home!
